Job Title: Geophysical Engineer Level 1

Fugro GB Ltd, a leading provider of geophysical and hydrographic survey services, is seeking a highly skilled Geophysical Engineer to join our team. Based at our waterfront office in Portchester, UK, you will be responsible for the mobilization and operation of geophysical and hydrographic survey equipment, including data acquisition and quality control onboard nearshore and offshore survey vessels in north-west Europe and occasionally worldwide.

About the Role:
  • Conduct geophysical and hydrographic surveys using industry-leading equipment and software.
  • Acquire and process geophysical data, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Work in a dynamic and ambitious team with opportunities to develop new skills.
  • Enjoy a varied role with no two days the same.
Requirements:
  • Essential:
    • Qualification in geophysics, engineering, or closely-related subject.
    • Good verbal and written English language skills.
    • Good computer literacy.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.
    • Confidence working under pressure to tight deadlines.
    • A high attention to detail, quality, and safety.
    • Able to work offshore for periods of up to 4 weeks.
    • Ability to pass offshore medical (OGUK) and offshore Sea Survival.
  • Desirable:
    • Offshore/practical experience in oil and gas, ocean science, renewables, and/or survey industries.
    • Experience with industry-standard geophysical data sets and/or equipment.
