The role

Fugro are recruiting for a Hydrographic Surveyor to join our world-leading geophysical survey department based at our waterfront office in Portchester on the UK’s south coast. As a Hydrographic Surveyor, you will be responsible for collecting hydrographic data on a wide variety of projects, working with teams in the field and Project Surveyors to deliver industry-leading data to our clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain exposure to a variety of projects working in a range of markets (including renewables, UXO, pipeline inspection) and acquiring different hydrographic data types. The role will combine time based at our Portchester office and offshore on Fugro vessels, although this is a primarily offshore role. Therefore, you will get the opportunity to experience both the onshore and offshore environment, working at the forefront of marine geophysical science.

Who you’ll be working with:
On a daily basis, you will be working closely with the project team. This includes the Project Manager, processing team, other surveyors and our clients. You will report to a Project, or Chief Surveyor.
