Job Summary

Industrious Recruitment is seeking a skilled Extrusion Production Specialist to join our team in a dynamic and growing company based in Dunstable. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an individual who is looking to be a part of a thriving production environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Factory Extrusion Processes: Collaborate with the Extrusion Manager to ensure seamless execution of procedures and policies that maximize safety, product quality, and productivity.
  • Execute Procedures and Policies: Understand and follow works orders to ensure accurate execution of tasks and meet production targets.
  • Identify and Solve Problems: Confidently cover all extrusion lines, identify faults, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Support Team Members: Assist other extrusion operators during start-ups and changeovers to ensure a smooth production process.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks at the beginning, during, and end of each job, and sign off on works orders as confirmation that the final inspection criteria have been met.
  • Product Preparation: Label, stack, and pack finished products for delivery, and ensure they are stored in designated areas.
  • Raw Material Management: Record, measure, grade, and feed batches of raw materials into production machinery.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform basic machine maintenance, report equipment faults, and clean and maintain work areas and machinery.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the factory is kept clean, secure, and tidy, and follow health and safety standards and high hygiene procedures at all times.
