About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Compliance Specialist to join our team at The Recruitment Group. As an Approvals Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Authority: Provide expert guidance on legislative compliance and product safety, ensuring adherence to global safety standards and directives.
  • Testing and Certification: Conduct detailed testing on new and existing products, generating reports for use in manuals and other documentation.
  • Approvals and Certifications: Maintain and update approvals/certifications on units to the latest relevant standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Product Compliance Database: Develop and maintain a product compliance database that supports the business's needs, providing accurate and up-to-date information on product compliance.
  • Design and Development: Participate in the design of new products to ensure compliance with required certifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge of current worldwide compliance regulations and directives, staying up-to-date on changes and updates to ensure compliance.
  • External Compliance Testing: Act as the point of contact for all external compliance testing, ensuring that products meet regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation and Quality: Ensure that all technical manuals and product documents are correct and in accordance with the relevant directives and standards, maintaining high-quality documentation.
  • Audit and Compliance: Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in relation to electronics and electrical installations.
  • Documentation Skills: Demonstrate meticulous and accurate documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise reports.
  • Technical Skills: Possess technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Possess previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with some electrical/mechanical knowledge.
  • Quality or Inspection Experience: Have quality or inspection experience, with knowledge of PAT and Flash (Hi-pot) testing.
