About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at Costain. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of the construction phase of the project on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership on the resolution of site issues that could impact progress.
  • Work closely with the Package Managers and Facilities contractors to resolve performance issues and blockers to progress.
  • Ensure the safe delivery of the construction phase of the project on programme and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide safety and quality leadership and management and coordination of the Facilities contractors.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Project Manager/Construction Manager managing the delivery of large scale, multi-discipline scopes of work.
  • In-depth experience of installing buried pipelines.
  • Detailed experience of onsite Construction Management and safe delivery, to time, quality and budget.
  • Detailed knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, Construction Phase Plans, risk assessment and construction hazards.
  • Experience of projects within brownfield and live operating site environments.
  • Experience of management of site subcontractors with civil, mechanical, electrical and site controls systems.
  • Understanding of Engineering and Construction Principles construction techniques and best practices.
