Strategic Finance Partner

SF Recruitment Limited t/a SF Group is collaborating with an esteemed not-for-profit entity. We are seeking a Strategic Finance Partner to work closely with the Head of Finance. This role is integral to a dynamic and adaptable organization that values a nurturing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Business Partnership: Cultivate and sustain a collaborative relationship with budget holders across designated business units as outlined by the Head of Finance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and nurture productive relationships with various directorates and stakeholders.
- Cost Efficiency: Identify opportunities for cost synergies to enhance operational efficiency and maximize financial returns.
- Risk Management: Implement mechanisms to identify potential risks and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate them effectively.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of SoRP compliant monthly management accounts in partnership with the management accountant.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and formulation of annual budgets and forecasts in accordance with organizational guidelines.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial outcomes and provide insightful commentary to senior leadership.
- KPI Review: Monitor key departmental KPIs against established targets.
- Performance Improvement: Identify underlying business challenges and support the implementation of improvement strategies.
- Financial Data Management: Ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial data, management accounts, and other financial reports on a monthly basis.
- Variance Analysis: Challenge variances with budget holders and promote the development of corrective action plans.
- Cost Analysis: Evaluate all aspects of direct and overhead costs, providing meaningful commentary on variances to budget and forecast.
- Credit Control Management: Oversee the credit control and purchase ledger functions.
- Debtor Management: Support the management of outstanding debtors over 90 days, utilizing collection agents as necessary.
- Payment Processing: Manage fortnightly payment runs to ensure timely payments to creditors.
- Month-End Processes: Ensure the implementation of effective processes for a streamlined month-end close for sales and purchase ledgers.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide support on sales and purchase ledgers as needed, including during periods of absence.
- System Improvement: Collaborate with the Head of Finance to continuously assess the effectiveness of financial systems, processes, and reporting, identifying and implementing agreed enhancements.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other responsibilities as directed by the Head of Finance that align with the role.
