Role Overview
This position is pivotal in supporting the Home & Furniture Trading teams by delivering strategic financial insights and analysis. As the Finance Manager, you will engage with senior leadership to influence key business decisions that enhance overall performance. You will oversee a dedicated team of finance analysts, ensuring that financial strategies align with the company's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Home & Furniture leadership team and assist the broader Commercial team as necessary.
- Actively participate in weekly trading discussions, providing critical analysis and performance evaluation.
- Analyze management reports to offer valuable insights and challenge assumptions where appropriate.
- Identify and communicate strategic and operational risks and opportunities to the Head of Finance.
- Ensure Finance has a prominent role in discussions impacting P&L and departmental initiatives.
- Develop an external perspective to effectively engage and influence business strategies.
- Conduct tailored analyses to support business improvements as required.
- Manage the Forecasting & Budgeting process in accordance with established timelines and procedures.
- Create comprehensive business cases and facilitate post-implementation evaluations.
- Support and challenge the business in managing strategic projects and initiatives.
- Lead and nurture a team of two finance analysts, fostering their professional growth.
Candidate Profile
- Must be a professionally qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with a strong focus on enhancing financial performance.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders effectively.
- Proven track record in analyzing financial data to drive business outcomes.
- Self-driven team player capable of working independently.
- Experience in leading teams, including motivating and developing team members.
