Accounting Specialist Job Description

Bucks and Berks Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with local and statutory reporting, managing data from multiple core applications, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the AP/P2P function, including AP invoices processing and management of data from multiple core applications.
  • Support the AR function, including customer accounts allocation and reconciliation.
  • Manage intercompany and related party reporting, ensuring full monthly reconciliation and confirmation of all intercompany and related party balances.
  • Liaise with the Treasury Department regarding intercompany loans and derivatives reporting.
  • Support the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of results to local management.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliation and associated quarterly reporting.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting and management information.
  • Drive process improvement within the Finance team and broader business, identifying opportunities for improvement and managing relevant initiatives.
  • Enhance systems knowledge and deploy within the Finance team and broader business.
Requirements:
  • Graduate and finalist/part qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
  • Experience in a relevant Finance/Accountancy role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manage significant volumes of data.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Inquisitive mind, self-motivated, proactive, and demonstrates initiative.
  • Strong logic and approach to multidimensional problem solving.
  • Shares openly ideas and opinions, and is not afraid to lead change in the environment.
  • Good team player.
  • Resilient and able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
