Afternoon Shift Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Afternoon Shift Supervisor to join our team at Nexus Careers Group Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our data center, ensuring the smooth operation of our critical systems, and providing exceptional leadership to our team members.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of engineers during shifts, providing guidance and ensuring effective task delegation.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage the performance of critical systems, including power distribution, cooling, and fire suppression systems, to ensure optimal uptime.
- Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance tasks and emergency repairs on all facility systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Incident Response: Act as the primary point of contact during incidents, leading the response to equipment failures and system outages, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, incidents, and performance metrics, providing regular reports to the Operations Manager.
- Training and Development: Facilitate ongoing training for team members to enhance their technical skills and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the team, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in a technical role.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data center or critical environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems; familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Electrical or HVAC certifications) are preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
