A Sourcing Manager is sought for a leading importer of Power Tools & Machinery.

The ideal candidate will possess experience with clients from the Far East, particularly China.

Position Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Curating a selection of new products for both wholesale and retail markets.
  • Authorizing all stock procurement orders and pricing strategies.
  • Ensuring comprehensive stock availability.
  • Identifying innovative products and ranges to enhance the overall product portfolio.
  • Collaborating with the purchasing, testing, and marketing teams to ensure timely market launches.
  • Coordinating all new product testing and evaluations with the in-house engineering department to comply with current directives.
  • Reviewing all incoming goods Quality Control reports, new product evaluations, and warranty assessments to inform company decisions.
  • Determining with the team which items will be phased out from the product range.
  • Partnering with the marketing team to pinpoint products for promotional initiatives.
  • Overseeing the transition of new products from importation through engineering and private label development with marketing.
  • Establishing trade and retail pricing for all newly selected products in line with company margin expectations.
  • Conducting ongoing market analysis to ensure competitiveness of current and new products.
  • Selecting inbound shipping partners.
