About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Income Officer to join our team. As an Income Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive the support they need to manage their income and maintain their tenancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a patch of around 1000 homes, developing relationships with customers and providing guidance on benefits and income maximisation.
  • Provide advice and support to customers experiencing difficulties with rent payments, with a focus on tenancy sustainment.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to find solutions and deliver the best customer experience possible.
  • Have a strong understanding of housing benefit, universal credit, and welfare reform legislation.
  • Be able to independently think around problems and come up with effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience in a front-line customer-facing role within a general needs housing environment or a similar background relevant to income collection.
  • Strong communication skills, with colleagues and customers alike, in an engaging and welcoming way.
  • A positive attitude and a consistent, engaged team player.
  • Good IT skills, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
About Us

Bromford is a housing association that owns and provides 46,000 homes for people who cannot access market housing. We have a strong balance sheet and plan to build 11,000 homes by 2030.
