About the Role- Develop and implement efficient manufacturing methods, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Design and generate manufacturing documentation, including inspection and test plans, to ensure seamless production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs and provide input on manufacturing instructions, ensuring effective and reliable production.
- Manage and update manufacturing data in in-house production control and MRP systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Conduct make/buy assessments to optimize production costs and resource allocation.
- Support the tendering process by developing manufacturing strategies and providing expert input.
- Ensure manufacturing documentation and quality updates are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
- At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing role, with expertise in machining and/or welding in a lean environment.
- Graduate calibre with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
- Proven knowledge of inspection processes and their impact on accuracy, time, and results.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions.
- A methodical approach to reviewing designs and offering advice on improved manufacturability.
- Ability to produce detailed manufacture instructions for planners, operators, inspectors, and quality engineers.
