Student Success Researcher and Evaluation Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to play a central role in supporting the design of interventions to measure student success and leading the evaluation of the impact of Birkbeck's Student Engagement and Success Programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop an evaluation framework for assessing the impact of interventions on students' engagement, completion, continuation, and attainment.
  • Lead the evaluation of the impact of Birkbeck's Student Engagement and Success Programme.
  • Design and implement quantitative research methods and multivariate analysis to inform the development of the College's student engagement tracking system and learner analytics.
  • Collaborate with the Education Directorate to support the implementation of the College's strategic objectives for education and student experience.
Requirements:
  • Extensive research skills, including quantitative research methods and multivariate analysis.
  • Experience of using social science data analysis tools and questionnaire design skills.
  • Strong enthusiasm for supporting learning in higher education and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Proven experience of delivering work on time and to a high quality.
What We Offer:
  • Grade 7 of the College's London Pay Scale, £42,365 rising to £48,424 per annum, pro rata for a part-time contract.
  • The opportunity to join Birkbeck's Education Directorate and contribute to the implementation of the College's strategic objectives.
