Job Title: Underwriter - Construction
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Construction Underwriting team based in Manchester. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and managing risks associated with construction projects, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible insurance coverage.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and underwriting evaluations to determine the suitability of insurance coverage for construction projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and to identify new business opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory requirements to ensure that our underwriting practices are aligned with best practices.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as claims and risk management, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge and skills to stay ahead of the competition and to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
About You
- Proven experience in underwriting, risk management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex risks and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and underwriting practices.
