Construction Underwriter

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Underwriter to join our team at Avencia Consulting. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for reviewing and underwriting new business risks in the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our underwriting guidelines and authority levels.
- Review and analyze broker-generated quotes to identify opportunities for growth and new business.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers and other stakeholders to drive business growth and development.
- Manage workflow from initial enquiry to outcome, utilizing our Markel workflow platforms.
- Identify and pursue new business prospects, utilizing our CRM system in accordance with our CRM Working Practices guide.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction underwriting and/or underwriting portfolios and binders.
- Working with a specialist broker panel is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
