Job Overview

West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Curriculum Leader. This role is crucial in sustaining school improvement and providing high-quality learning and teaching, aligning with our key Council priorities of inclusion and raising aspirations, achievements, and attainment for all students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school leaders to develop and implement effective curriculum strategies
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers to enhance their teaching practices
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to curriculum and teaching
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum initiatives

Requirements

Applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, school leaders, and other stakeholders. A strong understanding of curriculum development and teaching practices is essential, as well as the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Additional Requirements for Denominational Schools

  • Applicants for permanent posts in a denominational primary school must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate
  • Applicants must seek Catholic Church Approval when submitting their application for the post and provide a copy of the Approval to the Chair of the Panel prior to the interview
