Job Summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Education Specialist to join our team at The Gordon Schools. As a key member of the school community, you will be responsible for managing and promoting the library service, developing a reading program, and supporting curriculum learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procure and manage resources to support student learning
  • Develop and implement a reading program to promote literacy
  • Support curriculum learning by providing resources and guidance to teachers
  • Develop partnerships with the school community to promote literacy and learning
  • Manage and maintain the library service to ensure a high-quality learning environment

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in a relevant subject, such as librarianship or education
  • Have experience working in an educational environment
  • Be self-motivated and proactive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be skilled in engaging with learners and teaching staff
  • Be committed to quality service delivery and continuous improvement

Working Arrangements
