Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Global IT Organization, specializing in Mechanical CAD Systems. As a key member of our Engineering Systems IT team, you will be responsible for driving global improvements to processes and systems, including integration with our SAP PLM environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support MCAD systems to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with Waters' global network of mechanical engineers to understand current processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Develop, deploy, and deliver new processes and functionality, supported by training programs and super-user groups.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the organization at all levels, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Ensure regular software updates for ongoing tool interoperability and troubleshoot user issues.
  • Maintain Mechanical parts libraries, e.g., connectors, screws, and other common parts, and manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and escalate management issues.
  • Independently solve technical challenges and identify opportunities for process simplification and automation.
  • Maintain up-to-date process and system documentation and stay informed about industry trends, sharing best practices and benchmarking against other companies and indices.
  • Support cost/benefit analysis and develop business cases for recommended projects involving process, system, or technology change.
  • Apply Lean/Agile principles to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of innovation and competitive advantage.
Requirements
  • BS / B.Eng Degree or equivalent experience in the field of Mechanical Design.
  • Certification in Solidworks Professional is highly desirable.
  • Master-level proficiency in the use and configuration of MCAD and related tools such as Solidworks, NX, DSC ECTR, SAP, Ansys, Mathworks, Capital Harness, IDF files.
  • Understanding of product development processes applicable to Mechanical Design.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools: Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Problem solver who enjoys tackling complex design challenges.
