About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical CAD Systems Specialist to join our team at Waters Corporation. As a key player in our Mechanical Design capabilities, you will be responsible for the administration and support of our MCAD systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support MCAD systems to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with our global network of mechanical engineers to understand current processes and systems, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop, deploy, and deliver new processes and functionality, supported by training programs and super-user groups.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the organization at all levels.
  • Ensure regular software updates for ongoing tool interoperability.
  • Triage and resolve user issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain Mechanical parts libraries, including connectors, screws, and other common parts.
  • Manage time effectively, set priorities, and escalate management issues as needed.
  • Independently solve technical challenges and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and share best practices with the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in Solidworks Professional is highly desirable.
  • Master-level proficiency in MCAD and related tools such as Solidworks, NX, DSC ECTR, SAP, Ansys, Mathworks, Capital Harness, and IDF files.
  • Understanding of product development processes applicable to Mechanical Design.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
