About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical CAD Systems Specialist to join our team at Waters Corporation. As a key player in our Mechanical Design capabilities, you will be responsible for the administration and support of our MCAD systems.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support MCAD systems to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with our global network of mechanical engineers to understand current processes and systems, and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop, deploy, and deliver new processes and functionality, supported by training programs and super-user groups.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the organization at all levels.
- Ensure regular software updates for ongoing tool interoperability.
- Triage and resolve user issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain Mechanical parts libraries, including connectors, screws, and other common parts.
- Manage time effectively, set priorities, and escalate management issues as needed.
- Independently solve technical challenges and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and share best practices with the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Solidworks Professional is highly desirable.
- Master-level proficiency in MCAD and related tools such as Solidworks, NX, DSC ECTR, SAP, Ansys, Mathworks, Capital Harness, and IDF files.
- Understanding of product development processes applicable to Mechanical Design.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
