Role Overview
As a key member of the Project Management Office, the Project Management Specialist will oversee the delivery of intricate projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget while surpassing stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Management Specialist will:

  • Collaborate closely with senior personnel across Engineering, Production, and Operations to ensure timely task completion.
  • Manage multiple R&D (New Product Introduction) and Commercial projects concurrently.
  • Prepare and communicate project schedules that align with the product development lifecycle.
  • Define critical paths, establish project baselines, and analyze deviations for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee project financials and implement strategies to maximize returns.
  • Provide regular project health reports to the Programme Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage risks and issues to minimize their impact on project objectives.
  • Maintain strict control over project scope to prevent scope creep.
  • Utilize a stage-gate process for project management and manage work packages effectively.
  • Develop action plans to mitigate risks and conduct regular follow-ups.
  • Ensure stakeholder interests are prioritized throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Structure complex projects into manageable work packages and communicate effectively with the project team.
  • Organize and lead cross-departmental project meetings to assess progress and address challenges.

Qualifications
We are looking for a seasoned Project Management Specialist with:

  • A good honors degree in Engineering or Management-related fields.
  • Proven experience in successfully delivering complex projects, including R&D, NPI, and Commercial initiatives.
  • A strong understanding of the interplay between hardware and software in electronics product development.
  • A track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in budget management and project financials, including Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • The ability to excel in high-pressure environments with minimal supervision.
  • Project management experience in sectors related to electronics, communication systems, or satellite programs.
  • Proficiency in customer and supplier engagement, as well as stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with project costing for bids and sales support.
