Job Description

DCS Technology is seeking a skilled Project Delivery Manager to spearhead critical initiatives that drive operational excellence.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects that manage billions of pounds in transactions annually, directly impacting internal teams, clients, and customers alike.

Your Mission:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring they align with business goals and agile methodologies.
  • Strategic Release Planning: Play a crucial role in shaping the broader portfolio by leveraging agile practices to adapt to shifting priorities and market trends.
  • Change Management: Embrace and promote a positive attitude towards change, guiding teams through transformation with clarity and confidence.
  • Communication Bridge: Simplify complex concepts, acting as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless communication and understanding.
  • Agile Facilitation: Lead agile ceremonies and processes, keeping teams focused, aligned, and motivated to deliver top-quality results.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, using agile frameworks to navigate challenges and ensure successful delivery.
  • Standards Enforcement: Drive the adoption of project management best practices, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance across all project activities.

What You Bring:

  • Proven Project Management Skills: Experience managing a diverse range of projects from start to finish across various business functions, with the ability to navigate both agile and waterfall environments.
  • Leadership & Communication: A natural leader with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, fostering collaboration and accountability among teams and stakeholders.
  • Technical Acumen: A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, databases, and system design, with the ability to translate technical language for non-technical audiences.
  • Commitment to Growth: A certified Project Management qualification or relevant IT/Management qualification, showcasing your dedication to professional development and industry best practices.
  • Industry Insight: Strong knowledge of Financial Services, particularly in areas like BACS, direct debits, payment cards, prepaid, and cash transactions.
