About the Role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our next-generation data platform. This platform will be instrumental in providing reporting, analytics, and insights solutions for both our valued customers and internal stakeholders across our diverse portfolio of business-to-business (B2B) products, with a primary focus on our flagship customer relationship management (CRM) system, Alto.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust data pipelines, encompassing real-time data ingestion, batch ETL processes, ensuring high data integrity, quality, and governance.
  • Develop and maintain a scalable data warehouse, adhering to best practices in performance optimization, scalability, and disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, marketers, and other departments to facilitate data-driven decision-making and empower them with the insights and tools to drive innovative initiatives.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform to build and manage our data platform on AWS and Databricks.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background and experience in the following areas:

  • Python, Spark
  • Cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS
  • Terraform or similar IaC tools
  • SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Data warehousing and data pipeline development
  • Experience with data platform solutions such as Databricks or Snowflake
  • Docker (ECS/Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (AWS Step Functions, Airflow, Dagster)
  • Experience with change data capture (CDC) pipelines (e.g., AWS DMS)
  • Event streaming architectures
