Job Description:

We are partnering with a leading global insurance company to find a seasoned professional to lead their Data Platforms team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams of 20+ at a global scale and experience in building out centralized Azure platforms.

About the Company:

The company has experienced significant growth in recent years, expanding into new areas of insurance and establishing a strong presence in the home and motor insurance space. As a result, they have complex data sources and systems that require integration into a centralized platform.

About the Role:

As the Head of Data Platforms, you will report directly to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and be responsible for ensuring that the data strategy aligns with the needs of senior stakeholders across the business. The company has invested in Azure and Databricks, but they are yet to integrate hundreds of systems into the Azure environment. You will be expected to develop a data strategy that brings all data sources into one place and explain the benefits of cloud storage and optimization to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Data Platforms team to integrate data sources into the Azure environment
  • Develop a data strategy that aligns with the company's vision
  • Manage stakeholders at the senior level to ensure they understand the benefits of cloud storage and optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
