About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled TechOps Team Lead to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our technical infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and prioritize the workload of the TechOps team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including IT vendors and suppliers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Manage and coordinate complex technical projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong background in IT operations and technical infrastructure management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including IT vendors and suppliers.
  • A strong understanding of IT service management principles and practices.
