About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Grounds Person to join our team at a prestigious university in Reading. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing sports grounds and facilities within the university's expansive 'University within a Park'.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance sports grounds and facilities to the highest standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the grounds maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of the university's grounds.
  • Develop and implement sustainable grounds maintenance practices to minimize the university's environmental impact.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sports grounds maintenance or a related field.
  • Professional qualification in horticulture or a related field.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
