Job Summary:

Bradfield College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Grounds Maintenance team. As the Head of Grounds, you will be responsible for maintaining, conserving, and enhancing the sports facilities and grounds at the College.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Grounds Maintenance team to ensure the upkeep of sports facilities and grounds
  • Develop and implement seasonal and weather-dependent schedules of work, including snow clearance and salting paths and roads
  • Oversee the provision of sports surfaces and the setup and dismantling of sports equipment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a positive safety culture
  • Manage a team of grounds maintenance staff and provide guidance and support as needed

Requirements:

  • Hold a GMA Level 4 qualification or equivalent
  • Have a full UK driving license with trailer entitlement
  • Have extensive knowledge of sports turf management and previous experience in grounds management
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills
