An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paint Application Specialist to become a vital part of our expanding team at Niftylift Ltd. This role is situated in our advanced manufacturing facility.

Niftylift Ltd is recognized as a leading designer and manufacturer of mobile elevated work platforms, serving a global clientele with products supported in over 40 countries. Our success is driven by a dedicated workforce of over 400 employees across our three UK manufacturing sites.
Role Responsibilities:
The Paint Application Specialist will be a proactive team member with demonstrated expertise in paint preparation and application. The position demands adherence to high-quality workmanship standards within a premier manufacturing environment.
Key Duties Include:
- Performing hands-on tasks such as shot blasting, thorough preparation, and wet spraying of various chassis and ancillary components.
Working Hours & Compensation:
- Day Shift: 06:00 - 14:00 or 14:00 - 22:00, Monday to Thursday, with Friday shifts from 06:00-11:30 and 11:30 - 17:00 on a rotating basis (regular structured overtime included).
- Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, with Friday from 17:00 - 01:00 (regular structured overtime included).
Starting salary of £12.81 per hour for 37.5 hours weekly, plus a guaranteed minimum bonus of £45 weekly, totaling £32,981.52. Overtime is compensated at premium rates:
- Level A: £19.22 per hour
- Level B: £25.62 per hour
- Day shift premium: x1.15
- Night shift premium: x1.33
Additional monthly bonuses based on business performance typically range from £280 to £350.

Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience in paint application, with an understanding of the implications of inadequate preparation and application.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations within a paint shop environment, particularly regarding Isocyanates and flammable materials.
- Experience in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement setting.
- Welding experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Preferred experience in shot blasting.
- Familiarity with wet painting techniques using airless, air-assisted, and HVLP systems, specifically in manufacturing or automotive sectors.
- Experience in both industrial spray painting and automotive refinishing is desirable.
