Position Overview
The Podiatry Division at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is dedicated to enhancing integrated care pathways for patients with high-risk foot conditions. We are seeking a proficient Senior Podiatrist with a focus on Musculoskeletal (MSK) Biomechanics to become a vital member of our innovative team.
Our services encompass comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and guidance across various specialties, including diabetes management, wound care, musculoskeletal biomechanics, and nail surgery. We are committed to elevating patient care through the establishment of advanced care clinics that will provide sophisticated vascular assessments.
We encourage applications from Podiatrists who may not have prior experience at Band 7 but are eager to advance their careers and are passionate about enhancing patient care. Training and support for line management will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Podiatrist specializing in MSK Biomechanics, you will deliver expert clinical services for musculoskeletal foot issues within our multi-chair facilities, collaborating with our dedicated and enthusiastic teams to serve a diverse patient population.
Utilizing your specialized knowledge and expertise, you will contribute to the development of preventative foot care strategies and enhance patient access to appropriate care, ensuring timely interventions by qualified professionals.
You will play a crucial role in integrating MSK biomechanics into our service and will be instrumental in the education and mentorship of junior Podiatry staff. By providing daily professional leadership, you will ensure that patient needs are prioritized in care delivery while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. Additionally, you will undertake some operational management responsibilities and actively participate in our Leadership Team.
