Caretaker - Mobile Relief Specialist

We are partnering with a Local Authority in London to assist with the appointment of a Relief Custodian - Mobile Support, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at client discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £16.36 - £21.42 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Estate Services Manager and also the Quality Assurance Officer who assists the Estate Services Manager in custodian management. Liaising with Management and Staff at the Area Office.
- To provide relief custodian duties on various estates across all areas, as directed by managers, often at short notice.
- To work with other custodian staff to carry out tasks identified by supervisors or managers, on various estates.
- To assist managers or supervisors in the distribution of stores & equipment, including loading and unloading estate services vehicles.
- The completion of daily management control information and other documentation as required.
- Keeping records of complaints made by tenants and reporting cases of fire, burglary, flood and other important incidents to the Area Office/Housing Department as required.
- Reporting contravening of tenancy regulations by tenants.
Qualifications:
- To demonstrate a reasonable standard of literacy and numeracy
- Some experience of cleaning or custodian duties (paid/unpaid)
Required Skills:
- Ability to carry out cleaning duties, working alone or within teams.
- Ability to deal with complaints of disrepair.
- Ability to negotiate a congenial paired working arrangement with an assigned custodian. Where arrangements are in line with service needs and meet management approval.
- Ability to react to and deal with emergency situations, e.g. fire, flood and lift breakdowns.
- Ability to supply brief reports on background and action taken in respect of emergencies or unusual occurrences.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have the right to work in the U.K
- This role requires a basic DBS
