Role Overview:

As a Relief Manager, you will oversee the operations of our Country Houses, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. This role involves stepping in during periods of absence and offers a unique chance to work across all 16 Country Houses in the UK. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Excellence in Customer Service: Ensure that every aspect of guest service meets the highest standards.
  • Culinary Oversight: Manage the culinary team to guarantee outstanding food quality while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Leadership in Front of House: Direct the front of house staff, maintaining immaculate conditions in all guest areas.
  • Property Maintenance: Work closely with maintenance personnel to identify and resolve property issues.
  • Support from Central Functions: Utilize resources from central departments for recruitment, occupancy management, health and safety, purchasing, and reporting.

As a Relief Manager, your contribution will extend beyond operational tasks; your leadership and commitment to excellence will enhance the overall experience at our Country Houses.

Desired Qualifications:

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A solid background in the Tourism or Hospitality sector, particularly in roles such as Hotel Manager, Country House Manager, or similar positions with proven management success.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
