Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Everlast Gyms. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing controllable costs, and leading a team of fitness professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase membership sales, product sales, and secondary revenue streams.
  • Cost Management: Effectively manage controllable costs, such as stock orders and cleaning supplies, to eliminate wastage and overspend.
  • Team Leadership: Lead by example, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of fitness professionals to deliver exceptional member experiences.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the consistent delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes, using our in-house systems.
  • Communication: Foster open and honest communication with team members, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional member experiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate resilience and agility in reacting to challenging situations and finding solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, and pool plant operations.
  • Cleanliness and Presentation: Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Health, Fitness, and Wellness: A genuine passion for health, fitness, and wellness, with a desire to make a positive impact on members' lives.
  • Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles and drivers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: A positive, solutions-driven mindset, with the ability to react to challenging situations and find solutions.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Qualification in Fitness: A Level 2 qualification in fitness is desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous Management Experience: A minimum of 1 year's previous management experience within the fitness industry is required.
