This position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior experience in underwriting within the motor insurance sector or those with a background in insurance seeking to transition into underwriting.
The Motor Insurance Underwriter will focus on delivering outstanding customer service at every opportunity. You will grasp the needs of the customer or broker and align them with Aviva's objectives and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be tasked with underwriting profitable accounts while adhering to established guidelines and authority limits. Additionally, you will cultivate, enhance, and maintain relationships with designated customers and brokers, offering technical support and addressing all inquiries.
Utilizing a network of relevant stakeholders, you will provide the most comprehensive offerings suitable for the customer and operate independently within your underwriting authority, consulting on more complex and technical risks as necessary.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with insurance product features and processes (Preferred)
- Understanding of underwriting principles in the motor sector (Preferred, but not mandatory)
- Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities
- Exceptional communication, listening, time management, and negotiation skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively within a large, complex organization
- Solid knowledge of FCA regulations and other pertinent legislation
