The Motor Insurance Underwriter will focus on delivering exceptional service to customers and brokers alike. You will gain insights into the needs of clients and how these align with Aviva's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be tasked with evaluating and underwriting profitable insurance proposals while adhering to established guidelines and authority levels. Additionally, you will cultivate and enhance relationships with designated customers and brokers, offering technical guidance and addressing inquiries.
Utilizing a network of relevant stakeholders, you will provide a comprehensive range of solutions tailored to the customer’s needs, working autonomously within your underwriting authority and consulting on more complex risks as necessary.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with insurance product features and processes (Preferred)
- Understanding of motor underwriting principles (Preferred, but not mandatory)
- Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiation skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively within a large, complex organization
- Solid knowledge of FCA regulations and other pertinent legislation
