Senior Project Officer Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Officer to join our team at Healthcare Improvement Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Excellence in Care Programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including project team members, sponsors, and external partners.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver projects within agreed parameters, including timescales, cost, and quality.
  • Provide operational support to the project team, including database management, budget management, and report writing.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Experience of working in a national organisation, with a strong understanding of national policies and initiatives.
