Supply Chain Procurement Expert

About the Role
NRL Recruitment is collaborating with an innovative manufacturing organization seeking a Procurement Specialist to enhance their growing team.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with the Procurement Manager to assist the Tender and Procurement teams, concentrating on high-value critical raw materials and subcontractor agreements essential for the organization's success.
Your Duties Will Include:
• Establishing purchasing protocols necessary for the procurement, inventory, and management of raw materials.
• Acting as the primary liaison between key suppliers and the organization.
• Creating and executing Purchase Orders in alignment with contract stipulations.
• Developing significant long-term partnership agreements with essential suppliers.
• Conducting price evaluations; performing cost analysis and negotiating proposals; engaging in fact-finding during RFI processes.
• Overseeing quality, design, and payment processes with vendors.
• Managing supplier contracts, controlling expenses, and ensuring timely delivery in accordance with program requirements while reporting to the broader project team.
Qualifications and Skills Required
• A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management, or Supply Chain Management).
• A solid understanding of purchasing strategies.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business application software, including purchasing and resource planning systems.
• 3-5 years of experience in a procurement or buyer role, preferably with exposure to carbon steel plate or large flanges.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• A proactive approach to work, collaboration, and teamwork.
