As a Materials Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage the supply chain, ensuring the availability of materials to facilitate business expansion. This encompasses strategic sourcing, inventory management, and nurturing supplier partnerships.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily supply chain operations: assess material requirements, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules, issue purchase orders, and verify delivery timelines.
  • Formulate and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Establish optimal practices for inventory forecasting, procurement, and material management.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Assess, track, and report on supplier performance, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Assist in inventory management during stock audits and resolve any discrepancies.

Candidate Profile:
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain or procurement management within a manufacturing context, with knowledge of supplier development processes.
  • Strong skills in team development and change management.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of challenging assumptions, detail-oriented, energetic, and focused on results.
