Job Title: Geological Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Geological Consultant to join our team at JP Engineering. As a Geological Consultant, you will play a key role in developing a career working for one of the sector's most successful growing companies.

Job Brief:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on geotechnical projects and contribute to the growth and success of our company. Our clients want the best engineers to be the future of our geotechnical department, and we are looking for a talented individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop geotechnical designs at tender stage to client requirements
  2. Collaborate with structural engineers to achieve economical foundation solutions based on site-specific ground conditions
  3. Assess site conditions, including ground contaminants and potential for heave
  4. Prepare calculations, written reports, and check drawings
  5. Advise on site investigation brief to meet design requirements
  6. Assist with appointing and carrying out site investigations relevant to proposals
  7. Visit sites as required
  8. Support senior engineers
Person Specification:

We are looking for a candidate with a degree or greater in geotechnics or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a passion for geotechnics and be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills. Strong technical writing and numerical modelling skills are also essential.

Rewards:

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary, dependent on experience. The position also offers 20 days annual leave + bank holidays and professional fees paid for.
