About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations and Events Coordinator to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our marketing and communications department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing multi-channel marketing and communication campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Marketing Campaigns: Support and deliver marketing campaigns, including budget and monthly performance analysis, across all areas of ownership, aligning with the brand and company communications strategy.
  • Campaign Delivery: Assist the Marketing and Communications Manager with campaign delivery, deadlines, budgets, and strategic marketing planning.
  • Media Relations: Work with agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to generate blogs, news articles, award submissions, and other content that targets key media titles, while staying up-to-date with daily news, online sources, and competitor activity to identify hot topics.
  • Content Management: Support the management of content and updates on our website.
  • Event Planning: Lead the delivery and planning of external events in a timely fashion, professionally, and within budget.
  • Brand Development: Assist in building, managing, and strengthening our company brand by interpreting brand guidelines to write engaging copy and provide creative direction.
  • Sponsorship Management: Identify, manage, and deliver opportunities with our sponsors to leverage our position within the sector in line with our company core objectives.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assist and support with any additional marketing activities outside of PR responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Degree-level education.
  • 3+ years of experience in public relations and events.
  • Experience in the private healthcare sector is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to support, create, and develop news and features for campaigns and events.
  • Experience with pitching to journalists and securing press coverage.
  • Competency in software packages such as Office 365, Mailchimp, Analytics, WordPress, and Salesforce.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent planning and copywriting skills.
  • Creative, with the ability to interpret brand guidelines.
  • Good project management skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
