As we expand our client base and service offerings, we are looking for a dedicated Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join our team, working on various water company sites across central and northern England.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team, typically consisting of two engineers, across multiple sites.
  • Assist in the inspection, servicing, and repair of dewatering machinery.
  • Support mechanical repairs and modifications to pumps, piping, valves, and related equipment.
  • Help with the installation of pipework using various materials, including plastic, stainless steel, and mild steel.
  • Be available for standby cover and overtime, including potential travel away from home.
  • Assist in completing test reports, installation certificates, and customer feedback documentation.
  • Work closely with on-site customer teams.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers on-site.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and repair of dewatering equipment and ancillary systems at sewage and clean water treatment facilities.
  • Support energy-efficient operations and minimize downtime and pollution risks.
  • Help reduce raw material consumption through effective service and maintenance practices.

Qualifications We Seek:

Essential:

  • Valid UK Driving License
  • Experience in an industrial setting or recent qualification in mechanical engineering

Desirable:

  • NVQ or recognized apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance, Level 2
  • First Aid Certification
  • Confined Space Certification
