Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our outstanding team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a successful learning environment for a group of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Development: Work with colleagues to lead the development of a bespoke provision for pupils with SEN needs, ensuring positive outcomes and fostering mainstream integration opportunities.
  • Interventions and Planning: Oversee the planning and provision of specialist ASD/Communication and Interaction interventions across the whole school, promoting effective strategies for supporting SEN pupils.
  • Collaboration: Direct the work of the Teaching Assistant, and liaise with the SENCO, Trust Lead SRP Teachers, and Trust Director of SEN to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Professional Development: Provide formal and informal training, development, and support to school staff to enhance their understanding and strategies for supporting SEN pupils, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Individualized Curriculum: Plan and implement a highly individualized curriculum for pupils with specific SEN needs, catering to their unique requirements and abilities.
  • External Collaboration: Work closely with external professionals to deliver and monitor effective specialist interventions, ensuring the best possible outcomes for pupils.
  • Monitoring and Communication: Implement tracking processes to monitor key data for pupils in the provision, promoting positive communication with parents and stakeholders.
