Job Title: Patient Access Specialist

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patients through our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign accurate medical records numbers (MRNs) and complete medical necessity/compliance checks
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families, ensuring a positive experience
  • Collect and process insurance information, physician orders, and other relevant data
  • Operate the telephone switchboard, relaying incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls as needed
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct quality audits and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely data
  • Pre-register patients prior to visits, collecting demographic, insurance, and financial information
  • Explain consent forms, obtain signatures, and distribute patient education documents
  • Review eligibility responses and select applicable insurance plan codes
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification within 9 months of hire
