Job Opportunity: Locum Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to join our team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our critical care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in intensive care medicine
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Contribute to the development of our critical care services, including governance, service development, education, training, and research
  • Participate in on-call rotas and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service

About the Department:

Our department is a highly respected and motivated team of 49 consultants, including 14 who work in intensive care medicine, supported by a team of 21 experienced SAS doctors and PGDiTs. We pride ourselves on our flexible job planning and staff-friendly environment, which allows us to provide high-quality patient care while also supporting the well-being of our staff.

We are committed to providing excellent patient experience and are proud of our new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, which will open in October 2024 and provide care to our local population from first-class, purpose-built premises.
