We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Medicine Specialist to join our team at HCA Healthcare UK. As a Resident Doctor in our Critical Care Level 3 Units, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
About the Role- Support the day-to-day Critical Care Ward and ITU units, providing medical care from admission to discharge.
- Independently act on medical care of inpatients, including clerking new planned and unplanned admissions, daily patient ward rounds, and responding to medical emergencies.
- Deliver medical procedures as required, including vascular access, airway management, and pain management.
- Work collaboratively with the ward MDT, participate in audits, and engage in training to continuously improve patient care and staff development.
- MBBS medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC and current licence to practice
- Additional post-graduate qualification FRCA/ FICM/ MRCEM/MRCP or equivalent
- NHS Trained Intensive care medicine or Anaesthesia to ST4 and above, or equivalent
- Able to manage complex airways competently unsupervised and train and support others
- Able to demonstrate teaching and mentoring of junior doctors
- Core staff have an allocated study budget for courses relevant to specialty
- HCA has a comprehensive Learning Academy where you can enrol on courses
- HCA offer grants and sponsorship for research and opportunities to develop leadership skills
