About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Physics Expert to join our team as a Lead Physicist in the Brachytherapy area of Radiotherapy Physics. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership and strategic direction in the development and implementation of brachytherapy treatment techniques for gynaecological patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as a Medical Physics Expert, providing expert advice in relation to radiotherapy and brachytherapy.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new brachytherapy treatment techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the lead physicist for pre-treatment and the lead physicist for QA and Dosimetry to ensure seamless integration of brachytherapy services.
  • Undertake a range of specialist scientific and clinical duties to support all sections of Radiotherapy Physics.
Requirements
  • Medical Physics Expert certification through RPA 2000.
  • Registration as a Clinical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • PhD or equivalent research experience.
  • Proven track record of implementing new techniques and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
