About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee business operations, ensuring seamless execution and driving process improvements. The successful candidate will be responsible for delegating tasks, resolving problems, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Warehouse Managers and/or team members, enforcing company standards and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Identify and implement corrective actions for issues affecting departmental KPIs and operational performance.
- Represent the department at internal and external customer meetings, communicating shift issues and performance.
- Manage manpower resources effectively, supporting customer delivery requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Develop and maintain accurate Standard Work documentation, driving process consistency and coaching employees.
- Identify departmental training needs, maximizing employee versatility and capturing training with sign-off documentation.
- Drive Departmental Quality objectives, conducting PPS activity and Root Cause Analysis for Premium Freight, scrap costs, or stock losses.
- Assist production in engineering changes, production trials, model changes, and pilot builds.
- Enact contingency plans, escalate issues to management, and provide input for future process improvements.
- Review ongoing performance results, taking corrective measures and escalating as needed.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in supervisory roles.
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Understanding of business planning and solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
