Senior Operations Manager

Great Bear is seeking an experienced Senior Shift Manager to join our team. As a Senior Shift Manager, you will lead the team in delivering exceptional service to our customers while coaching and developing your team.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure high Health and Safety standards are maintained within your team and site.
- Investigate and report all accidents and incidents, and implement measures to prevent re-occurrence.
- Review and update Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance and prevent incidents.
- Manage and review resource levels to meet operational requirements across all customers on site.
- Set and agree clear targets in line with KPIs to deliver productivity and accuracy levels that meet customer and business expectations.
- Work with fellow managers to drive improvements across all KPIs from operational and customer perspectives.
- Support cost-saving initiatives both on site and within the wider business.
- Deputize for the Distribution Centre Manager when required.
- Manage absence and ensure all absence from work is managed using company procedure.
- Deliver team member performance reviews and facilitate effective communication.
- Able to demonstrate existing experience at this level or similar within the 3PL or wider logistics sector.
- Previous experience in managing volume profiles with significant peaks and promotional activity.
- Experience in operational start-ups or larger supply chain projects is advantageous.
- Ability to think and work both strategically and operationally.
- Evidence of team management and development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to converse at all levels, internally and externally.
