We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estates and Building Officer to join our team at Queen's University Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the University Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) in providing an efficient reactive and planned maintenance customer-focused service.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the DLO team to deliver maintenance services within approved budgets.
- Support the Assistant Estates Manager in the delivery of development projects and the use of relevant University software systems.
- Manage and maintain physical maintenance infrastructure in a multi-site complex building environment.
- Manage multi-trade staff undertaking response and planned preventive maintenance tasks.
- Financial budgetary management and experience of using and managing a helpdesk CAFM system.
- Good technical and practical knowledge of building construction, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Educated to HNC / HND level or a recognised trade apprenticeship NVQ Level 3.
- Time served in a Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering discipline.
- Valid Driving License.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills, as well as a strong understanding of building maintenance and construction principles.
