Position Overview

Mane Contract Services is collaborating with a prominent electrical firm seeking a Wind Turbine Assembly Supervisor to manage the pre-assembly processes of wind turbine structures.

Rotation: 14 days on, 14 days off

Contract Duration: Initial 6-month engagement

Employment Type: Limited Company

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in overseeing pre-assembly tower completion tasks, with a proven track record in a similar supervisory role within the wind energy sector.
  • Lead planning and pre-assembly operations, ensuring adherence to schedules and progress tracking.
  • Provide timely reports on contractor performance and progress to the site management team.
  • Exhibit the confidence to challenge contractors regarding execution, planning, and work ethics related to tower completion and associated activities.
  • Prepare for upcoming load outs, including materials handling and logistics.
  • Conduct preliminary walkthroughs with contractors prior to quality inspections.
  • Ensure contractors operate efficiently and effectively throughout the project.
  • Identify and address any deficiencies in contractor planning and work ethics.
  • Maintain a lean approach to the delivery of load outs.
  • Collaborate closely with the quality assurance team to verify and follow up on all non-standard work activities, including PLI's, NCR's, and ECO's related to tower pre-assembly.
  • Act as the liaison between contractors and the site logistics department for the organization, retrieval, and identification of all tower components.
  • Prioritize health and safety in all operations.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Onshore GWO certifications
  • GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT)
  • Relevant prior experience in the field
