Job Description Summary

GE Aviation is a leading provider of offshore wind energy solutions, with a portfolio of turbines that offer increased value to customers through proven performance, reliability, efficiency, and availability.

We are seeking an experienced EHS professional to join our team as a Construction Site Agent. This role requires deep knowledge and experience of EHS regulations applicable to offshore wind operations, and familiarity with GE products and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serves as an EHS expert for applicable regulatory and industry standard requirements.
  • Ensures compliance and coordinates with the Site Leadership to implement both GE and legislative EHS expected programs and training requirements.
  • Partners with customers, external agencies, and contractors to develop positive working relationships and ensure EHS compliance.
  • Delivers and supports EHS training, including maintaining records of competency and training completion.
  • Drives EHS performance to support Key Performance Indicators in line with business expectations.
  • Conducts audits and inspections, and manages third-party EHS inspections, following GE's expectations.
  • Promotes a positive EHS culture and supports the implementation of EHS incentive programs and Just and Fair Cause process.
  • Engages in all areas of site operation and uses Lean and digitization tools to drive process improvement and reduce risk.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent from an accredited college or university, or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant EHS experience in a professional EHS role overseeing the execution of EHS in projects or services environment.
  • Significant experience and demonstrated achievements with safety programs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Able to coach and support key influencers to drive EHS compliance and reduce risk through team engagement.
  • Knowledge of EHS management systems and EHS standards.
  • Fluent English (verbally & in writing).
  • Medical fitness and ability to work at height and offshore according to local/national requirements.
  • On-site based role, with travel as required.
  • Experience in a project environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project risks and management.
  • Additional language skills of languages spoken within EMEA region.
