Purpose of the Role

Colas Ltd. is seeking an experienced Assistant to join the Asset team in Portsmouth. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for producing Streetlighting Asset Management reporting, including daily asset register updates with operational maintenance data.

Main Responsibilities

As an Assistant for the Asset team, your duties will include:

  • Providing updates on streetlighting inventory
  • Coordinating streetlighting NDT and condition survey
  • Updating streetlighting inventory on GIS, Confirm system, and Mayflower - Xml format
  • Assisting in coordinating streetlighting structural non-destructive and visual asset inspections
  • Conducting annual reports for streetlighting (methodology and process)
  • Producing Streetlighting energy reports and coordinating all Network Road spacing bookings and TM requirements on pendulum test
  • Conducting Asset Data analysis and streetlighting scheme asset modelling
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or Data Analyst. You will have knowledge and understanding of visual condition survey inspections and UKPMS standards, maintenance of highway, highways assets management principles. Good ICT skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) are essential. Experience and knowledge of street lighting are desirable but not essential. If you have graduated in Data Analytics or Civil Engineering, this will be a great first role to get stuck into. A UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Package Description
